A great way to start your day is with hummus toast topped with your favourite toppings such as:
- Tomatoes & basil
- Avocado
- Eggs and micro greens
For lunch, Susan always enjoys a salad with a hummus dressing. Just take your favourite hummus (Roasted Garlic, Original or Roasted Red Pepper work best) and add a bit of olive oil, a squeeze of lemon juice and whisk together. Now drizzle over your salad and enjoy!
You can also try adding our NEW Caramelized Onion Nutty Dip to your tuna, as a replacement to those other spread. It’s creamy and oh so delicious. Add it to your bento box with a hard-boiled egg, some almonds, cherry tomatoes and hummus and your lunch it served.
“Taco” sandwiches for kids are a fun and healthy lunch idea, not only are they super cute but they’re tasty too! You can get the little ones involved first, have them cut out circles with the bread using a large round cookie cutter and then roll slightly with a rolling pin. Now, have them pick their favourite hummus, veggies and protein to add to the “taco”. Spread the hummus onto the bread and fold in half and fill with their chosen ingredients. The possibilities are endless when making these sandwiches but here are a few ideas to get you started:
- Red Pepper Hummus, turkey, cheese and greens
- Original Hummus, avocado and bacon
- Tzatziki with a sliced hard-boiled egg and lettuce
